And so it grows

Baby and I visited our midwife this week and everything is going great! I had a conversation with my little Bean, and thanked him/her for being such a good, smart baby, and treating Mama so well. I've had no discomfort, no problems, no complications, and baby is growing right on schedule. The midwife said that baby was a bit ahead of the game because it's already head-down and in position at 29 weeks. My ginormous belly (which I like to call "The Situation" now) is visibly growing bigger by the day. My skin is stretched so tight and I'm massaging olive oil on The Situation now in desperate hopes to not have any stretch marks.

Sleep is starting to come in 2 hr bursts, which I'm told is common in the 3rd trimester of pregnancy. I guess it's nature's way of preparing me for my new nocturnal party buddy who's arriving in just a few short weeks. I'm still getting used to feeling little teeny toes wrapped up in my ribs, and I love watching my belly roll around and pulse with the kicks of our little Bean. I've been using Belly Buds speakers to play music to the baby every evening- Chopin, Mozart, and of course, music by Mama (me!). When I sit down to play the piano, baby gets so excited and loves to hear me sing!
