Poppy for remembrance day

My parents mailed me some poppies to wear for remembrance day. In Canada (and the UK), we wear a poppy on our left side from the end of october until remembrance day on November 11. It's a reminder of all the soldiers who have sacrificed in order for us to have freedom. Poppies are available for free or whatever donation you wish to give. All the proceeds go to veterans. I think the US should adopt the poppy pin too!

  1. That's a really lovely tradition. Neat to run across this right now. I'm watching Chronicles of Narnia where the kiddos are evacuated because of WWI. Reminds me of the Flanders poppies. May we never forget their sacrifice.
