Times Square TIM HORTONS! :)

Carmen (the American) and Carmin the Canadian (that's ME!) went to Times Square today at lunchtime to check out the new Tim Hortons! Tim Hortons (as you all must probably know) is a cultural part of the Canadian heritage, and I've had a hankerin' for an Iced Capp for a lonnnnng time!

The best part is the American flag decor (what do you call those half-circle flag thingys?) right outside the entrance. That's such a courteous way of "inching their way" into the coffee market and slowly taking over the U.S. market as well, don't ya think? lol Good on ya, Tim's! Glad to have you here! Feels a bit more like home for THIS Canadian chick, now that there's 12 Tim Hortons in NYC!

Carmen the American had an iced coffee (which she said was better than Dunkin' Donuts...but don't we ALL know that already?) I had an Iced Capp (iccino, for those of you who are unfamiliar with Tim's Terms.) Oh, and yes- the iced capp DID taste just as good as I remembered. The only thing that's a little off-putting is that because of NYC law, there have to be calories displayed for every item they serve. Once you see that a beloved Maple Dip is 400 calories, you don't enjoy it as much!
